How long does installation take?

Usually 2–4 hours for a straightforward install. If a switchboard upgrade is needed at the same time, allow a full day. We'll confirm the timeframe when we quote.

Do I need council approval?

No council approval is required for a standard residential EV charger install in Queensland. We provide a Certificate of Compliance with every job — this is what your insurer and the charger warranty requires.

My switchboard is quite old — is that a problem?

It might need upgrading, or it might be fine — we won't know until we look. We assess this as part of the free quote. If an upgrade is needed, we'll give you a combined price for both jobs. Often, the most cost-effective way to handle it.

I've already bought a charger. Can you just install it?

Yes. Bring your own charger and we'll install it. Just let us know the make and model when you call so we can confirm compatibility and plan the job.

Can I get a charger installed in a rental property?

Yes, with your landlord's written permission. We can liaise directly with property managers or owners if that's easier for you.
